The Cultural and Arts Activities Department organized an awareness campaign titled “Clean Kuwait” in celebration of World Environment Day.

Attended by the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jassim Al-Hamdan, the Cultural and Arts Activities Department organized an awareness campaign titled “Clean Kuwait” in celebration of World Environment Day on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Sulaibikhaat Beach. The event included participation from faculty member at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the College of Science, Dr. Dhari Al-Kandari, along with department students, the Environment Public Authority, Ammar Ya Kuwait team, the Retired Officers and Initiators Association, the Medical Emergency Department at the Ministry of Health, scholarship students from the Student Housing and International Students Affairs Department, in the presence of Acting Controller of the Cultural and Arts Activities Department Khuloud Al-Yaqoub, and supervised by UNESCO Club Supervisor Abrar Al-Kandari.

In this regard, the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jassim Al-Hamdan, emphasized that the Student Affairs Deanship is keen on organizing diverse and effective activities that encourage cooperation among students, teamwork, and volunteerism. He noted that this activity serves the Kuwaiti environment and falls within Kuwait University’s goals of maintaining a healthy environment, instilling values in students to advance society.

In conclusion, Prof. Jassim Al-Hamdan thanked the organizers and participants from various state institutions for this effective activity.
