Engineering Students Participate in 17th GPCA Forum in Qatar

Organized by the Engineering Training and Alumni Center at the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University and sponsored by EQUATE Petrochemical Company and Petrochemical Industries Company, a delegation representing college students participated in the 17th GPCA Forum in Doha, Qatar.

Initially, Dr. Dueij Saud Al-Rukaibe, Director of the Engineering Training and Alumni Center, expressed his gratitude for the distinguished annual sponsorship and main support for the college represented by EQUATE Company and Petrochemical Industries Company, as well as the cooperation and efforts of the Head of Chemical Engineering Department, Dr. Osama Al-Rashid, in facilitating the participation of department students and their selection to represent Kuwait University.

Dr. Al-Rukaibe explained that an elite group of male and female students from the Chemical Engineering Department were selected to represent Kuwait University at the GPCA Forum. Dr. Sulaiman Al-Qallaf was assigned to lead the delegation with participating students: Sulaiman Al-Muzayen, Yacoub Akbar, Monia Al-Mutairi, Anisa Juma, Fajr Al-Ahmad, and Noura Al-Jassar.

The delegation head, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Qallaf, also thanked the Engineering Training and Alumni Center, EQUATE Company, and Petrochemical Industries Company for providing the opportunity for Kuwait University students to participate in the annual GPCA Forum - this pioneering event that has served as a specialized communication platform for the petrochemical industry in the Arabian Gulf region over the past sixteen years.

It is worth noting that the sponsoring companies provide support for students of the Chemical Engineering Department at Kuwait University to attend discussion sessions at the GPCA Forum with the aim of developing the future of the chemical industry and elevating it to new horizons.
