Kuwait University Registers US Patent in Air Conditioning Technology

In an innovative step towards improving the efficiency of air conditioning systems and preserving the environment, Kuwait University registered a patent from the US Patent Office of the US Department of Commerce through the Office of Patents and Intellectual Property at the Office of the Vice President – Research, and through the efforts of the research team from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Dr. Ammar Bahman, Dr. Osama Ibrahim and Eng. Sarah Barghash.

The patent titled “Air Conditioning System with a Solar Based Sub-Cooling Device” contains innovation that represents an important step forward in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning technology, which meets the growing need to improve the cooling systems of homes and buildings.

Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Fayez Al-Dhafiri congratulated the inventors for obtaining a new patent and expressed his pride in the role of the Office of Patents and Intellectual Property in the research sector, which has always been proactive in supporting inventors.
