At the invitation of the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine, Hamad Bin Khalifa University and Texas A&M University, a group of academic staff members from the Department of Information Sciences at the College of Life Sciences at Kuwait University participated in the 9th Arab American Frontiers of Science, Engineering and Medicine Symposium, which was held in Doha, under the patronage of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, presenting their scientific research in the fields of computer information systems.
The Acting Head of the Department of Information Sciences at the College of Life Sciences at Kuwait University, Dr. Zainab Al-Maraj, participated in a lecture on her research in the field of digital accessibility, and a panel discussion on digital inclusion and inclusive design. Dr. Lulwa Al-Sumait and Dr. Dhari Al-Huwail also participated with scientific posters about some of their existing research in the field of information and computer sciences.
The Arab American Frontiers of Science, Engineering, and Medicine Symposium aims to enhance interdisciplinary cooperation between young scientists and researchers, and the State of Kuwait hosted its first edition in 2011.
